I finally solved the low sound issue on Asus G60VX - RBBX05!!!!!. Now this laptop is perfect!
If the volume controls of the speaker is set to 100% together with the volume control on your computer then still get a low volume,try some other device where you can use your speaker like mp4,if still got same problem,bring it to a service center there might have a problem with the amplifier.
Laptop Sound Problems
Solution below will probably work for other laptops that are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 and having this same issue. The problem is regardless of raising the volume to the max the sound is still too low.Here is how to fix it.1.
First you need to go into the bios and make sure the sound volume is at its highest.2. Open Control panel and choose Hardware and Sound3. Then choose Manage audio devices4. On the playback tab make sure speakers is selected.5. Click on properties.6.
Click on Enhancements Tab7. Check the Box Loudness Equalization.Your sound is now very high!!! Amazing how easy that was!
Now you can enjoy your laptop. You also may want to check under enchancements the equalizer option check select Powerful.
It basically increases all the audio bands across the board evenly. It does increase the volume on the laptop.I had the G72 and those speakers where louder but I did the same thing on that unit to increase the sound as well. Keep in mind though that if you change the eq settings like this to change them back to none or another setting if you use an external receiver or speakers or your sound output will be too high and thus also possibly bad sounding.
FYI, all this really does is make both speakers produce the same volume. This is bad for anything directional. Thus any sound that requires separate channels will have it produced from both speakers. For example, in games you can't distinguish gunfire from the right as it will be leveled with the left side.
So in essence you get a surround effect where you hear gunfire from both sides.This is useful for getting the maximum volume from a single source like someone speaking. But, personally would rather have it un-checked and raise the equalizers higher to preserve separate channels.
